You just need to remove the Flying Sphinx add-on via Heroku's
website or using the command-line tool:

heroku addons:remove flying_sphinx

I don't hold any ill will towards you, but I'm curious as to why
you're cancelling - would you mind letting me know why? If it's
something to do with Flying Sphinx itself, I'd be keen to address
any problems people are having.

Cheers

We were not using ruby, but wanted to use sphinx on heroku. Initially,

looking at your solution it looked great, but once we tried it
out we
realized it was a ruby only solution and wouldn't fit our
needs.

It would be nice if you exposed and documented the internal HTTP
library so
other languages could be incorporated...

I've actually been working on that a bit yesterday for Python.
What language are you using for your app?

Certainly planning to document the API better in the near future
too.

Pat

Pat Allantag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/179713442012-08-12T18:33:30Z2012-08-12T18:33:30Zcancel

Pat,

We were using node.js for this app.

-Todd

Todd Fishertag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/179713442012-08-13T01:57:56Z2012-08-13T01:57:56Zcancel

Good to know Todd, thanks. I'll focus on node.js once the python
library is sorted.

Do you have any recommendations of node libraries for testing,
stubbing/mocking and making api calls? I'll be learning as I go
(though I'm familiar enough with javascript).

Cheers

Pat

Pat Allantag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/179713442012-08-13T11:43:09Z2012-08-13T11:43:09Zcancel

So, I usually just use the built in assert. If it's a server
then I
require the server and bind it to a port and assert the
responses... I
know there is some fancier testing like vows, but I don't usually
make very
complex apps in node... hope that helps!

another search tool (completely understandable), just wanted to let
you know that I've now got a JS library for interacting with Flying
Sphinx:

If you have a moment, feel free to read through the README, and
let me know if there's anything obvious missing. If you don't have
time, no worries :)

Cheers

to look into this more to give you better feedback.

<a href=

In the process of making the command-line behaviour consistent
across Ruby, Python and JS - once that's ready, website docs will
get all the details.

Sorry, I didn't get time to give you more feed back just
glancing at the doc updates now this looks fantastic and will
definitely be
much better for new comers and probably will come backup for me in
a
later project. Thanks so much for the great service!
