FS and rds

Hello, I seem to be running into an error connecting to my amazon rds server with flying sphinx. I've added the the amazon id 092495821309 under the ec2-security-group scalarium-default-server, but I still seem to be running into the following error message:

Can't connect to MySQL server on 'gapdctestdb.cm7eatsqvgxp.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com' (110) (DSN=mysql://gap:***@gapdctestdb.cm7eatsqvgxp.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.co...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
