ThinkingSphinx::SphinxError: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading authorization packet'

Hi Pat,

We've been getting the exception in the subject line sporadically over the past few days for our YourGrocer website . What's the best way to resolve this?

   Hi Dito,

   I’ve been noticing this too over the last few days. I’m working on some bigger infrastructure changes that should help, though they’re not going to be super fast to roll out. Looks like overnight it’s gone back to normal - so hopefully the connection errors have slowed/ceased for you? - but if the issues return I’ll shift you onto a new server in the short term.

   Exceptions have ceased for now. I'll let you know if it occurs again.
