I've not used Xeround DB before, so not entirely sure where to
start with this - but can you provide any error messages your
getting, as well as your app's name (perhaps make this conversation
private if you wish).

Thanks

I wrote a few days ago because of a problem with the use of Xeround

I need some information before I can investigate further - what
errors are you getting? And what is your app name?

Pat Allantag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/106934502011-10-23T16:30:55Z2011-10-24T14:30:50Zerror on fs:index with Xeround DB

Hi Mirco & Pat,

Thanks for dropping by - I guess my first question is around
security and how access to your databases is managed. If I have the
username, password, host and port, can I connect from the database
from any other server? Or is there another level of security
(similar to RDS with granting access)?

Pat Allantag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/106934502011-10-23T21:51:59Z2011-10-24T14:30:51Zerror on fs:index with Xeround DB

Pat - currently the service only supports username/password
authentication so that would be a yes to your first question. We
are going to introduce, however, full support for standard MySQL
'user@host' definitions as well as SSL connections. I don't have an
ETA for these but the general time frame is several weeks.

Itamar Habertag:support.flying-sphinx.com,2011-01-05:Comment/106934502011-10-24T05:51:52Z2011-10-24T05:51:52Zerror on fs:index with Xeround DB

Thanks Itamar, sounds like there shouldn't be any trouble with
Flying Sphinx integrating with Xeround in theory.

Mirco, just a reminder - if you can tell me what errors are
happening, then I can investigate and we can ensure things work for
you.

Cheers
