Hi Joe
What versions of flying-sphinx, thinking-sphinx and rails are you using? Also, what's your app's name?
Kind regards,
Pat

Sorry about skipping those little details:
flying-sphinx (0.8.2)
thinking-sphinx (2.0.13)
rails (3.1.12)
The app's name is hotmoose.
Thanks for the quick reply

First things first: I'd highly recommend updating to at least flying-sphinx 0.8.5 and thinking-sphinx 2.0.14 - I have a feeling there was a bug with pre-0.8.4 releases of the FS gem.
I'm actually working on updates to both gems to improve reliability generally, but certainly things should work well with 0.8.5.
If that doesn't help, let me know.

So i have followed the instructions (added mysql2, made sure sphinx is compiled with MySQL support, and moved the indices to the new locations) to upgrade to flying-sphinx (0.8.5) and thinking-sphinx (3.0.2), but now I am getting the following error: uninitialized constant ThinkingSphinx::PostgreSQLAdapter (NameError). Any ideas?

Ah, if you're using 3.0.2, you'll need the latest flying-sphinx from GitHub:

Thanks for the help.
We ended up using thinking-sphinx(2.0.14) which worked wonderfully (once we remembered to start the daemon).
